Hello!

We´re going to talk about the province of Valencia. Valencia is one of the provinces of Spain. Valencia is situated next to the coast. It has a lot of interesting things, like its own language (the Valenciá that is a dialect of the Catalá that at the same time is a dialect of the Spanish). Valencia has a lot of interesting places, parties, monuments, sport teams and food. First of all, we´re going to talk about its celebrations. Valencia is famous because it has a very famous party: The Fallas. In this local party, a lot of people make sculptures, some of them are politicians, other are castles and a lot of more things that are burnt all together. The next interesting

point in Valencia is its food. Valencia is famous for the chufa and the paella. The chufa is exclusive from Valencia, it is very similar to the horchata. It´s made of cinnamon, mint and milk but the difference between the horchata and chufa is that it is eaten with "churros". It is also famous for the paella, that is especially delicious there. The next one, is its sport teams. The most famous is the Valencia F.C., a football team that sometimes is lucky and sometimes is very unlucky; and the F1 championship that is organised there. In Valencia there are a lot of places to visit like the Oceanographic and the City Of Arts And Sciences that are the most famous places to visit there.

IVÁN JIMÉNEZ Y BORJA MARTÍNEZ

Barcelona is a big city, has the famous stadium of Camp Nou.The tipical food is the butifarra and is composed of a sausage and beans.
Some important Roman ruins are exposed under the Plaça del Rei, its entrance located by the city museum (Museu d'Historia de la Ciutat); the typically Roman grid plan is still visible today in the layout of the historical centre, the Barri Gòtic ("Gothic Quarter"). Some remaining fragments of the Roman walls have been incorporated into the cathedral. The cathedral, also known as the Basilica La Seu, is said to have been founded in 343. The city was conquered by the Visigoths in the early 5th century, becoming for a few years the capital of all Hispania. After being conquered by the Arabs in the early 8th century, it was conquered in 801 by Charlemagne's son Louis, who made Barcelona the seat of the Carolingian "Hispanic March" (Marca Hispanica), a bufer zone ruled by the Count of Barcelona.
